1882    The Dunn, a new colliery by the Penn anthracite Coal Co. is located about 1500” from the Sibley Shaft. A slope has been sunk to coal, and are now sinking a skaft down 50’.

 

1888    The Dunn breaker and surrounding buildings were destroyed by fire Tuesday night, July 17, 1888. The culm bank that had been on fire for some time was suspected to have spread to the structure. A new breaker has been erected 200’ from the shaft. A new 14’ Murphy air fan has been installed

 

1899 A rock plane was cut from the Dunmore #2 vein to the Clark vein and is 16’ wide by 7’ high and 185’ long at a slope of 12*. An extensive rope haulage has been installed, and has heavy grades, tight turns.

 

1904 a new Jeanesville pump was installed. A 300’ slope was driven from the Clark to the Dunmore vein

 

1905 A main shaft was sunk from the Dunmore #2 vein to the Dunmore #3 vein 55’. A tall rope haulage engine was installed outside to haul coal up a slope from the Top and Middle veins. #3 or Nickel Plate shaft was Recribbed.

 

1906    Mine on strike from February 13, and continued to August 23. On October 27, a cyclone destroyed the breaker which is now being rebuilt.
